  2. The Dead 60s is the eponymous debut album by British rock band The Dead 60s. It was first released in the United States on 31 May The office building on the album cover is Concourse House, which once stood next to Liverpool Lime Street railway station. It was demolished as part of a regeneration of the area surrounding the station.
  3. The Dead 60s formed in Liverpool, United Kingdom in , they comprised of Matt McManamon (Vocals, Guitar), Ben Gordon (Guitar, Organ), Charlie Turner (Bass Guitar), Bryan Johnson (Drums). Named after the saying 'Dead 60s sounding' from Liverpool. Their name was a two fingers up to the usual happy pop tunes that originate there.
  4. The Dead 60's had a harder edge than many of Britain's successful bands of the mid s. I like this album and it showed strong potential. Clearly influenced by the best of British music over the past years, I am only sorry that they disappeared just as quickly as they arrived.
  5. Not since 94/95 has there been a resurgence in British indie rock bands and The Dead 60s are a fine example of a new indie band. The three singles in the album are the most noticeable; Loaded Gun, Ghostfaced Killer and (the excellent) Riot Radio/5(10).
  6. The Dead 60s sound like The Clash did when they allowed the reggae ska roots shine through. You can see the Clash as bold as day in numerous songs on the album, and also there was a bit of Madness style ska flying about too/5(11).
